If you are interested in programming on the Palm OS. You may want to read a book by Neil Rhodes and Julie McKeehan. To find out if this book is for you, you can even read the entire book online free. Or you can buy it at Amazon.
The book is a great introduction to Palm OS programming. Of course, you have to refer to  the Palm OS SDK documentation also.

I also recommend the Palm OS Programming Bible by Lonnon R. Foster.
