Safe secures your data in Memo Pad. The encryption algorithm is triple-DES.
Safe is based on the Memo Pad program and provides all its features. The
source code of Safe is also available for public review. Program download is no longer available. However, you can still obtain the source code here. Please check out history below for why Safe is terminated. |

v1.0 | First public release.
v1.1 | User interface enhancements.
. . . | Safe is terminated. In the beginning, Safe was built to secure the Memo Pad data. Source code is available for peer review. I believe no security product can be trusted without reviewing the source code. Now there is a better alternative. Current Safe users may evaluate and switch to CryptoPad, which comes with source code and is free. Thanks for your kindly support! |

time. Please select your own private password to protect your data. Try to use
a 'good' password. You can find more information about password

The three screen shots above show a typical encryption process. You open a memo -left-, click the Details button, select the Encrypt checkbox, and click Ok -center-, the memo content is now password protected. -right-
A memo in Safe is same as a memo in the built-in Memo Pad program. The difference is encrypted memo is displayed in encoded text. You should not edit any encrypted memo. Otherwise, the content will be damaged. This screen shot shows a Safe encrypted memo in Memo Pad. Note that the first line is still plain text, as memo title.
